Founded in 1786, Deakin & Francis is today, seven generations later, still owned and managed by the Deakin family, who are proud of their Birmingham workshops and the ability to produce fine quality hand made jewellery in precious metal, incorporating vitreous enamel and fine gemstones.

In recent times the house speciality has become the manufacture of a magnificent range of gentlemen's jewellery, the world finest cufflinks.

When D&F first produced links they were part of every gentleman's attire. Today they are worn as a statement of wealth, style, tradition or humour. The collection encompasses any occasion and personality, and are worn by enthusiasts, celebrities and royalty around the world.

The company produces well over 1000 designs from a relatively inexpensive silver range, to the highest quality diamond and gem set selection in platinum or 18 karat gold. The archives go back to the 19th century and many models produced today are indistinguishable from the originals.

D&F has recently been joined by two 19th century Birmingham family firms, W.J.Pellow who specialise in hand made lockets and crosses, and J.W.Barrett who specialise in hand made military and civic badges, decorations and insignia.
