Jean-Marc has been classified as Modern Revolutionary
whose artistic motivations are 'Desire, Love & Sensuality '.
Initially his paintings in oils on canvas depicted sensual pleasures
of the male physique. A provocative and sensitive view of the male
form. Specifically, they are an oeuvre in a modern, figurative style,
using light, color and contrast. His work lends itself to an original
blend of traditional techniques and attention to shadow, form and
detail whilst also applying a progressive use of depth These paintings
evoke emotions of warmth, sensuality and passion.
Recently Jean-Marc has begun experimenting with photographic manipulation
using CGI, inks and paints. He also has a vast knowledge of, and
interest in, Maori, Polynesian and tribal imagery. His portfolio
includes intricate paper and ink designs.
In 2000, Jean-Marc relocated to London and immediately secured an
extended exhibition of his work in Soho. Following on from this
success he has increased awareness of his work, via exhibitions
and print coverage, throughout Europe and North America . He also
collaborated in a major exhibition of Sensual Art held in Berlin
during the summer of 2002.To date, his work has been featured in
a variety of publications including: ' QX Magazine' (UK, 2000);
'Tom of Finland Foundation' (web site, 2001); 'Triangulre: Temporel'
(France, 2002 and 2003); 'QW Magazine' (France, 2002); 'Mein Schwules
Auge' (Germany, 2003).
