Rue de la Ferronnerie and Rue des Lombards is now an area of many
gay bars and restaurants. It was outside 11 Rue de la Ferronnerie
in 1610 that Henri IV was stabbed to death in his carriage.
Nearby is Les Halles underground pedestrian concourse lined with shops and an RER and Metro Hub. It is on the site of the old "Les Halles" Central Market.

In the heart of Paris, on the edge of the Marais district, this apartment on rue du Temple and rue du Petit Thouard is just meters away from the Square du Temple, a great shopping/market street (the rue de Bretagne), and in walking distance to the Picasso Museum, the Pompidou centre, and the beautiful and historic Marais. Restaurants and cafés abound. There is one metro stop at the front door (Temple) and four more metro lines just a couple of blocks away at République. The apartment is on the 6th floor (elevator to the 5th), with a lovely, unobstructed view of Parisian sights and rooftops.
