Normandy Cooking Weekend
 

Discover the food of Normany in an old mill, stone house, with a closed garden by a small river. Located in Reviers is a small village located in Normandy 3 km from Courseulles-sur-Mer and 20 km from Caen.

The Old Mill House

There are upstairs bedrooms (double bed) and a private bathroom. Downstairs, there are 3 rooms (2 double beds and 2 single beds) and shared bathroom.

There is a spacious room with fire-place and a big dining-room, where we share the meals.

 


Your Hosts

Avi Engel

Avi started his cooking career working in the kitchens of Tel-Aviv's restaurants, while studying for a degree in economics and management degree. Afterwards , he moved to New York to study cooking at the French Culinary institute, and worked as a chef for two local restaurants. A few passed and he moved to Paris where he does what he loves most - cooking.

Genevieve is his associate and owner of this pastoral guest house situated in the Normandy region.

Genevieve's marvelous cooking skills are spread by word of mouth, and you are invited to share her secrets of the region's traditional cooking methods.

Courseulles-sur-Mer belongs to the D-Day beaches area, so from Reviers, it is easy to visit all the landing beaches and monuments within 1 day.

Caen : 20 km: Memorial for Peace - Caen Ducal Castle (William the conqueror) - Abbaye-aux-Hommes - Abbaye-aux-Dames
Bayeux : 15 km: Bayeux Tapestry and Cathedral

Mont-saint-Michel: 1 hour and half by car.
Deauville (the town of the American film festival )- Trouville - Honfleur (beautiful fishing harbour and art exhibition) : 1 hour and half by the coast

Pays d'Auge: the inside part of Normandy, famous for the horse breeding, the apple fields, from where are produced the cider and calvados, the production places of Camembert, Pont-l'Evêque and Livarot, the three famous cheese from Normandy.

From Paris to Caen, where you will rent a car.

By Car

Highly recommended to rent a car in Paris, and enjoy the scenery on the way, while passing in Honfleur and Deauville, among other beautiful landscapes.

Driving instructions will be given to participants.
