With its many cafes, restaurants, clubs, fashion boutiques and “maisons et objects” stores, it is the center of Paris’s vibrant gay community. Shops are open on Sunday when most other parts of Paris are closed. On rue St. Crois de la Bretonnerie is the gay bookstore ‘Les Mots a la Bouche, and a nice salon for tea is ‘Mariage Freres’, 30-32 rue du Bourg-Tibourg, which sells 450 varieties of tea.
You will want to stay in or visit the Marais, the center of gay lifestyle and filled with many historical buildings and short distance to Notre Dame.
International Gay Chorus of Paris
Founded in 1994, Mélo'Men, the 'Choeur International Gay de Paris' is a male
voice choir whose members have in common their
love of song and their gay identity. With an eclectic repertoire
ranging from Purcell, Schubert and Poulenc to Gershwin and ABBA,
Mélo'Men recently participated in the 6th GALA festival
of gay and lesbian choruses in San José as part of a tour
of California, with further concerts in San Diego and San Francisco.

GLBT organization in Paris founded in 1995. They offer dance related activities such as weekly evening dance classes for all levels in diverse styles offered in ten session semesters; Tea Dances with themes such as Debutantes ball, Viennese waltz, A day at the Windsors, Cabaret, held the third Sunday of each month at Dancing le Tango, the premiere gay friendly dancing club of Paris; Intensive weekend dance retreats in and around Paris made up of two four hour classes given over two days; and dancing "Nights out" .
