the wine shipped up the Seine by barge was stored. There is also
a great new 18 cinema complex, many showing films in V.O. (Version
Original). All showings before 12:00 AM only 4.90 Euros. Fast access
to the center of Paris on the new Madeleine-Bibliotheque Francois
Mitterrand metro Line #14.
Bois de Vincennes
The
Bois de Vincennes is directly east of Paris and complements
the Bois de Boulogne to the west; both built by Napoleon III and
his director of works, Baron Haussmann. It is a lovely park with
its imposing mediaeval castle, Chateau de Vincennes. It contains
Parisí main zoo, famous floral gardens, and a large lake with genuine
Buddhist Temple at its edge. Concerts and exhibitions are held during
the year. In April or May the biggest Fun Fair in France, Foire
du Trone, is held here.
