Some people believe that the more expensive their equipment, the better their photos will be. Unfortunately this is far from true. In fact, the ability to 'see' creatively is the most important aspect of striking and meaningful photography.
Learn to shoot like a pro and instinctively sense when there is a great image to be captured on one of our 3 scheduled photo tours in Paris.
Learning by doing is our motto, and from the very first moment you will be taking photos, encouraged by Sab's enthusiasm and guided by his expert suggestions and advice.
Some of the many things you will learn on your personalized tour include:
• How to always be ready for the unexpected
• How to see things differently, and to always search for the unusual and the remarkable
• How to turn an ordinary scene into something exceptional
• How to make the most of poor conditions, such as low light, rain, too many people and lack of inspiration!
• How to easily understand the more 'advanced' features of your camera - you'll learn that you can 'touch that dial' with confidence!
• How to use classic techniques such as subject positioning, intelligent framing, depth-of-field, foreground interest and creative blur to transform your 'snaps' into works of art worthy of publication
• How zooming with your legs produces a radically different result to zooming with your lens and when to use each method
• How to anticipate, wait for and finally capture legendary photographer Robert Doisneau's 'decisive moment'
• How to play with light and shadow, colours and shapes, textures and urban architecture to astonishing effect
• How to let your imaginations fly...

I just wanted to drop you a quick note to say thank you for helping
arrange the most perfect day last Sunday. The day was flawless. Kevin
the photographer was amazing. Not only did he make us feel comfortable
but he also took some amazing photos of our day. I wouldn't hesitate to
recommend him to anyone. The video guy send us a small snippet of the
video and it looks great as well. We can't can't wait to get the full
DVD in the mail.

This is a brief report back on our time with Kevin in Paris.
Everything went according to schedule and we were pleasantly supervised
by Kevin, his knowledge, sense of humour, openess and ability to share
and teach what we needed.
It was a great way to see and enjoy Paris and we each felt we had
gained something from the time we spent with him,
thank you for organizing this,

Just wanted to say thank you for a really interesting and
informative walk around the Latin Quarter last Sunday (4th July). It
was really helpful to get so many useful tips to take better pictures
and to see some of the great sights of Paris at the same time. Thanks
to you, I will probably take a lot more and (hopefully) better quality
photos! We really enjoyed the morning. Thanks again
David & Janice - July 2010

and we will highly recommend. We will write a review on our travel

Eric - June 2010
Marc, how are you?
I just wanted to say I enjoyed the photo tour immensely, you were a
fantastic teacher and tour guide.
Cindy - Nov 2009
It was good to hear from you on our return to the UK - appreciated
the e-mail.
Really enjoyed our Sunday morning walk with you around the streets of
Paris - you took us to an interesting spectrum of places that we would
not have discovered on our own and provided some excellent subject
matter for photographs. We both benefited from your photographic
experience - openly sharing both technical and creative advice - but
also from your knowledge and insights about the area which for me
provided interesting context. Would certainly do it again sometime.

Félix Thiollier (1842-1914), photographies
Musee d'Orsay
This first monograph in Paris devoted to Félix Thiollier will pay tribute to the industrialist from Saint Etienne who, at the age of 37, decided to live off his private income and concentrate on his passionate interest for local research and collecting art.
Having satisfied these desires by publishing illustrated books aimed at promoting both the conservation of the heritage of Forez and the work of his artist friends – the most prominent of whom included Auguste Ravier, Paul Borel and Jean-Paul Laurens.

Passy is an exclusive area of Paris, France, located in the 16th arrondissement, on the right bank. It is home to many of the city's wealthiest residents. Old money. Inherited money. In Passy time has not seemed to move forward. The villages of Passy, Chaillot and Auteuil were incorporated into Paris under Napoleon III in 1860 to form the 16th with the Bois de Boulogne.
From metro Passy we climb the stairs to the past, head up to the roundabout and delve into 200 years of fascinating history all on one street.
Their families have been there for years. There is a distinct feeling of privilege. One has the impression that visitors are outsiders. Probably a reason that they have managed to keep themselves under the tourist radar.
On this tour we will pierce the veil of secrecy and discover the Parisians of Passy.
