This Prestige Cooking Tour includes:

Cooking sessions, 4 star hotels with dinners, the visit of Chambord and Chenonceau, the wine visits and tasting of Sancerre, Pouilly Fumé, Vouvray, Chinon, Bourgueil, lunch in Vouvray and Blois, transfer in TGV train back to Paris.

This tour does not include:

This tour does not include: wine for dinners except when mentioned in the program, lunches in Sancerre, Cheverny and eventual corkage rights.

According to the availability, the hotel may change; in which case I will propose an accommodation of the same standards.

Chef Florent Houget boasts impressive experience with such prestigious restaurants as "Le Choiseul and Les Templiers 2* Michelin", he also worked in Saint Bartholomew and in Lebanon.

He only uses the freshest ingredients.

Chateau de Chissay

In the shade of the castle of Chenonceau, the castle and surrounding wood of Chissay, an old royal residence, is an ideal place of stay.

It has personalized and elegant rooms, with views on the park, swimming pool or the Rennaissance court.

The gothic vaulted dining room " La Table du Roy ", offers regional inspirations.

 

 

 

 

Loire Valley Cooking and Wine Tasting Tour

 

 


Itinerary:

Day 1: Wednesday
Arrival in Paris CDG airport in the morning.
Transportation in Mercedes vehicle for the whole of your tour.

Lunch is at your convenience on the way to Sancerre or in Sancerre according to the time of arrival.

We spend the beginning of the afternoon visiting the winery of the Chateau du Nozet, the best Pouilly Fumé in the world, which, of course, you get to try (Pouilly La Doucette and Baron L.) Exclusive Visit!

 

In the afternoon, you check in at the Domain des Forges de la Vache, Mme Muller. This 16th century master house was built in the forest a few kilometres away from the Loire River.

At 5 pm you start the cooking lesson. You participate to the elaboration of French traditional dishes like "coq au vin, boeuf Bouguignon."

For dinner you try wines especially chosen to match the dishes

Day 2: Thursday

We leave Sancerre in the direction of the “Chateaux region”.

In the morning, you discover a jewel from the Renaissance, the Chateau of Chambord, listed as a world heritage by the UNESCO.

Lunch is at your convenience in Cheverny. Don’t hesitate to ask me for a good value for money restaurant.

Check in at Chateau de Chissay 4* hotel built in the 14th century, under Charles VII.

At 4 PM the Head Chef Florent Houget welcomes you in his kitchen for the cooking session. At 8 pm dinner is served in the gastronomic restaurant with the appropriated wines.

 

 

Day 3: Friday

We take you to the Domain Marc Brédif, where you visit the nicest Vouvray cellar, and taste dry, medium dry, sweet, and sparkling Vouvray.

Lunch is at your leisure in Vouvray.

In the afternoon, we go to Chinon, at the Domain de la Noblaie. You visit the vineyard, and try some of the finest Chinon wines, that get even finer when aged!

You continue your initiation to the Loire Valley wines with a tasting of Bourgueil. The Domain de la Lande welcomes us for the last tasting of red wines. Lovers of strong tannic wines will appreciate the expertise of the producer. You can purchase some wine for diner.

Diner and accommodation are at the same 4* Chateau Hotel.

 

Day 4: Saturday

At about 10 am we go shopping on the French market of the royal town of Blois.

Lunch is at your leisure in the town of Blois.

In the afternoon, we go to Chenonceau for a visit of the Chateau.
Chenonceau is a master piece of the Renaissance architecture. It was offered by Henry the 2nd to Dianne de Poitiers his mistress.

At night fall we can organize for you a hot air balloon flight over some of the Loire Valley Chateaux, don't hesitate to contact us for further details. (Additional price per person 180.00 €).

Diner and accommodation are at the same 4* Chateau Hotel.

Day 5: Sunday. Departure
Your chauffeur drives you to Saint Pierre des Corps (Tours TGV train station).
The TGV train takes you to Paris within 1 hour or to Parris CDG airport within 1h30
