Hi larry! I just wanted to let you know we absolutely LOVED our Paris trip! It was very successful except for the Louvre being closed but Bruno turned it into a great walking tour instead :-) Everything else went perfectly and our day trips with Jacques were fabulous! Champagne
Enjoy a drive to Reims, capital city of the Champagne region, but also the city of coronations where most of the Kings of France were crowned. Giverny
A drive on the Normandy highway leads us to Giverny, a charming country village. It was in Giverny where painter Monet chose to settle with his family; and it was there where he indulged in his love of nature, in his art, his garden and his photography. In Giverny, we will see Monet's home, his garden and workshop, all authentically restored. As we stroll in the exquisitely colored gardens and admire the pond with the famous Japanese bridge, we enter Monet’s world where art and nature become one..
Le Mont St Michel
Drive through Normandy to Mont-Saint-Michel. Surrounded by dangerous moving sands, linked to the mainland by a dike, this "Marvel of the Occident" is unique in the world. Visit the famous Abbey built on a rocky islet, and which was principally a major cultural and pilgrimage centre during the middle ages. Admire the ramparted Gothic monastery superposed over the centuries, and in particular, the remarkable cloister and refectory.
