Private Half Day Walking Tour :

From the very first minute you will be taking photos with expert and friendly guidance to help you. No chance will be missed to create beautiful and evocative images you will be proud to admire and show to your friends when you get back home.

Latin Quarter: From humble church to towering cathedral, Notre-Dame is the world-famous jewel in the crown of the Ile de la Cite, the original Paris before the city outgrew its island boundaries.

Montmartre: the very name conjures up images of penniless artists and steep winding streets, weather-beaten windmills and timeless cafes, and... they are still there! Avoiding the typical tourist traps for the most part, this superb tour will show you the secret Montmartre, the hidden corners and unexpected sights.

Palais Royal: Photographically speaking, it is hard to beat this tour for the sheer volume of superb images just waiting to be captured by the inventive eye and able hand. We'll visit the Palais Royal & Buren's black and white columns, 19th century passages, the Louvre and Tuileries gardens.

Marais: We step back in time to one of the most beautiful 17th century squares in Europe and discover the lovely arcades surrounding it. We move along rue Francs Bourgeoise to visit unusual shops, a jewel like museums, the Jewish quarter and if time the oldest remaining medieval cloister in Paris.

Introduction to Photography:

This shared small group tour will be extremely rewarding and the pace invigorating! En route you will make 5 key stops to learn several photographic points that will range from best light, portraits, architectural details and general tricks of the trade used by professional photographers. Your tour will be extremely rewarding and the pace invigorating!  The type of camera is unimportant, you will learn to develop  the 'photographer's eye' and see things in a completely different way. You will learn:

1. Take control of your equipment and get off of autopilot.
2. Learn how aperture, shutter speed & ISO work to give you the shot you want.
3. Learn the Rule of Thirds for the most pleasing shots.
4. Three basic compositional elements that will improve your work 1000%.
5. Snap The Magic Moment

We'll finish our tour with a photo critique and review over lunch (included).

On 26 March, the iconic photographer Robert Mapplethorpe, will be featured in the South-East Gallery of the Grand Palais for a major retrospective: his highly aesthetic and stylised black and white photographs are imbued with that erotic power that made him famous.

Our Philosophy

Some people believe that the more expensive their equipment, the better their photos will be. Enthusiasm and imagination is the key to creating striking and meaningful photographic images. You will learn many new techniques and 'ways of thinking' to allow you to develop the imagination and spontaneity needed to make the most of any situation. Your photographic tour will be one of the absolute highlights of your holiday and you will leave with pictures and memories with will stay with you forever as a lasting memento of the time you spent here. Some of the many things you will learn on a personalized tour include how to:

-always be ready for the unexpected
-see things differently, and to always search for the unusual and the remarkable
-turn an ordinary scene into something exceptional
-make the most of poor conditions, such as low light, rain, too many people and lack of inspiration!
-easily understand the more 'advanced' features of your camera - you'll learn that you can 'touch that dial' with confidence!

I just wanted to drop you a quick note to say thank you for helping arrange the most perfect day last Sunday. The day was flawless. Kevin the photographer was amazing. Not only did he make us feel comfortable but he also took some amazing photos of our day. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him to anyone. The video guy send us a small snippet of the video and it looks great as well. We can't can't wait to get the full DVD in the mail.- Carol Feb 2011

This is a brief report back on our time with Kevin in Paris. Everything went according to schedule and we were pleasantly supervised by Kevin, his knowledge, sense of humour, openness and ability to share and teach what we needed. It was a great way to see and enjoy Paris and we each felt we had gained something from the time we spent with him, thank you for organizing this,

Cindy - Nov 2009

It was good to hear from you on our return to the UK - appreciated the e-mail. Really enjoyed our Sunday morning walk with you around the streets of Paris - you took us to an interesting spectrum of places that we would not have discovered on our own and provided some excellent subject matter for photographs. We both benefited from your photographic experience - openly sharing both technical and creative advice - but also from your knowledge and insights about the area which for me provided interesting context. Would certainly do it again sometime.

“I was in Paris with my 13 year old daughter & my 15 year old niece last week and hired your company through expedia. Spending the morning with Kevin on a photographic tour was the highlight of our entire trip. Kevin inspired two young girls with no initial interest in photography to become very passionate about carrying a camera with them all through Europe. There perspective on looking through the lens, how to frame a photo, use light, and snap when the opportunity presents itself was invaluable. I have a passion for photography and Kevin taught me so much. I cannot thank you enough for providing such a terrific service. I have sent an email to my network in the Fashion Industry highly recommending Kevin and your company which hopefully will get your more business. "
